What to do with a Failed Hot Chocolate Recipe (with Little Bro guest appearance!)

Hi folks!

We had such fun today fooling around with a failed hot chocolate recipe 🙂 I just had to share it with you!

The balance between sweet and bitter was completely off (obviously, the recipemaker did not read my previous post on balance, lol) so besides the hubbylicious who devoures anything in a very Garfield kind of way, we all poured the mixture back into the pan.

And that’s where the aha-experience took place: was I not looking for something edible for my little boy to paint with??!!  Liiight buuulb!!

So first I added a little flour to reach paint consistency.  Little Bro immediately got the concept:

And this is how he felt about it:

Cute, right?

But then, he got this great idea: let’s put this stuff…oh yeah…in our mouths!!

Later on he was actually licking off his painting…  Edible paint is just awesome!  I see a new artistic concept coming…

For the second experiment, I added a lot more flour and a little olive oil and the result was an amazing flexible playdough consistency.  Also fun (notice the increasing chocolate circle around the mouth):

And very good to chew on too…

Norah was drawing as usual but couldn’t help herself to join in the fun. She’s working out her own recipe here, results will be presented soon 😉

Happy creating everyone!

Hi Elisabeth, good to see you! It’s funny, I’m having troubles posting comments on your website too! They keep asking me to log in and than I get a failed login message. The other day I was just trying to tell you “Happy Thanksgiving” but after 15 minutes of trying, I gave up. Did that comment ever reach you?
But rest assured, I drop by almost everyday, I’m just a visitor on mute right now 😉
